LED ZEP

a couple of years ago, pre=lockdown. I bought a led zeppelin rerelease from FOPP and the teenage metalhead girl behind the counter quizzed me 'what is your favourite led zeppelin tune?" and my immediate answer was

Immigrant Song

VALHALLA I AM COMING!

as a teen when I was living in a shire I cycled many miles to a Sunday market and bought LED ZEP 3, OG press with the spinning wheel cover, which got caught up and mangled in the front wheel of my racer on the way home

one of my favourite books EVER is the LED ZEP biog, HAMMER OIF THE GODS

Bonham shitting in a groupie shoe story remains ingrained

there was a lawsuit between Abel Ferrara and the alleged nonce over the use of my favourite rapper

which must make this dissensus turf

but LED ZEP IV

WHEN THE BREAKS BREAK

WHEN THE LEVEE BREAKS

@0bleak can be forgiven for his love of funk even though some preteen had to eat shit out of her shoe ( I'm indulging in sicko jokes here )

some of my favorites are Black Dog and Kashmir with the interlocking time signatures

I was sort of alluding to Schoolly D above and his misappropriation of Kashmir in his tune 'Signifying Rapper' in the OST of Abel ferera's bad lieutenant but I got more scared by the non woke rapper hate lyrics than I was by threats of the LEAD BALLOON WEIGHT for copyright strike lawsuit landing on my doorstep

Black Dog switches from 4/4 to 3/4 to 5/4. Then guitar and bass go into 9/8 time while the drums are in 4/4.

Kashmir is in 3/4 with thee drums in 4/4.

But it's not so proggy that it loses me.

the LOVE OF MY LIFE likes to take coach trips via a UK company so I'm used to boarding a bus in Oldham or Stockport early Saturday morning along with various guys who look like Shaun Ryder's dad - once we were returning from wherever and this came on

WHOLE LOTTA LOVE

it was Christmas, so when this came on between Wham and Mariah I got a bit excited

when I managed an 'Internet cafe' an avant garde jazz sax player supplied me with more than one zep boot and one 3 cd set featured a 55 minute Bonham drum solo of 'whole lotta love'

pure psych
