why dubsteppers should forget about myspace, facebook, virb...

this topic was about a totally different thing, but since after someone calls you "nob" here, lots of people jump in very interested to look at what you have to offer, i changed my point...

so i was promoting a social network, underlining its strong points that are making it better than the above mentioned networks imho, but now it all comes down to:
you won't ever see there what you see below!
feel free to discover yourself what network i'm talking about, i don't want its name associated with what's going on here!
or better move elsewhere, i'm just waiting for the mods to delete this pile of teenage frustration-based riot.

yeah, we're always complexed by intelligence and coolness manifested by calling people "nob"
you worked hard to attend this level?

why does dubstep even need a private communications channel? it's this kind of insular thinking that's making things seem so stagnant lately i reckon. but then, i'm a cynic.

for the same reason you don't see music on real estate sites, even though some of the real estate agents like it. would you accuse the authors of those sites of "insular thinking?"
the only non-insular thinking site is www

i don't even know what that means. real estate?
i'm just saying, not everything revolves around dubstep does it? most people i know have facebooks and virbs and myspaces to keep up with people and piss away the hours in work with their mates and that, not to just talk about dubstep 24/7.

but still, just my opinion. keep doing your hustle innit.

fact music
sick boy otm.

the very fact that the first example that came to your mind was about real estate says a lot. and it ain't good.

so what are you saying is that a social network makes sense only if it's about anything your mind can think of?
if we make it about all styles of music, shall we worry painters and writers will accuse us we, musicians, have insular thinking?
then we open to all arts and then the transport unions will jump on ur back cause we ignore other trades?
and then...

don't you feel you should worry about your ridiculous thinking?!
jeeez dudes!

be interesting to see how that gets enforced. if anything dubstep should be opening up more channels, imo, but then i'm an old moaner.

jeez talk about picking the wrong forum for this kind of ad and concept. i reckon there'd be a much better reception on dubstepforum.

I think social networking sites should focus on the social.

There is a great anecdote about a chess championship in the forties. The contestants had put aside their differences and were having a fairly deep conversation about the implications of The Bomb.

And then one contestant pipes up and says "what the fuck has this got to do with chess?"

What would be great tho, is if there was a specific social networking site for estate agents who liked dubstep. That would be awesome and I would join it, despite not fitting into either category.

What, there is already somewhere for people who are into dubstep to discuss it and interact with each other?

yeah multiple clause specificity is definitely the way to go - the more clauses the better.

i keep seeing these ads on setanta for an irish 'planned lifestyle community' in north carolina, with golf and horseback riding, etc. i don't know if you have to be irish to live there, or irish-american with documentation, or if you just do irish things with your neighbours, but it seems kind of fucked.

anyway, @ alien pimp

it's not like the place is going to turn into a namby pamby hippy arts community if you don't put a DUBSTEP ONLY sign on the door.
