Soul Food 3 - How good is this?

"What goes around comes back with soliders... But I'm gonna make an example, it won't be on my shoulders".

Also the Phew LP on Pass, picked up after deepmining Woebot. Awesome wobbly Czukay bass.

El Hombre Invisible
'Folk Forms No.1', from Charles Mingus Presents Charles Mingus...which also includes my all-time favourite title for a track...'All The Things You Could Be By Now If Sigmund Freud's Wife Was Your Mother'...:)...

Baked Bean and Egg, Macka B's critique of the British diet.

Did you ever hear "Wet Look Crazy", Macka B's critque of a fashionable 80s haircut? Great tune, but perhaps only works now if you remember those days...

'What goes around will come back with soldiers' is maybe my fave Trim line ever. I still listen to SFIII everyday in the morning getting ready, just play the best five or so tunes. Man is actually a genius, if 4 and 5 and 6 are good I think he'll have surpassed Wiley and made the best individual canon of work in grime ever. Maybe.

Here's hoping. I'm actually going to dig out Vol 2 which I've hardly listened to, just to find some more of those killer lines.

So many good bits on 3....right from the start:

"Teeth.. gums..... Can you see 'em? THEY'RE OUT"

Stuff recommended in the superb Reynolds book: Gang of Four, Wire, Talking Heads. Great.

Probably not the first to notice that Wire's Three Girl Rhumba gives Blur every trick in their book.

Pestario, check this out. This guy really is the nuts:
