im not sure what songs i liked but there werent any i disliked really so it must be a good tape. i liked the first song more than corpsey did though. i like it when rappers are struggling with the devil for posession of their own soul.

on a late/catch up note -

can anyone recommend some mixtapes for 2011/2012? it seems its all artists own mixtapes these days? Is there less and less DJ mixtapes?

When we sorting out this rap night Slackk/Corpsey?

For my first act I will play the new Rick Ross mixtape in its entirety while smoking a big cuban cigar. I will cue each track with a crab leg instead of my fingers, which will be covered in crab meat.

Maybe I'll wear a lobster bib. With a medallion of my face hanging over it.

The 'big' news in hip-hop at the mo is that Common dissed Drake, Drake dissed Common and then Common dissed Drake again.

Oh and Rozay dissed Jeezy. How 'exciting'.

The Rick Ross tape is pretty great, though, upon further listening. Some top quality glossy production and semi-memorable boasts about being rich from the Bawse. It's rap as pure entertainment, really, the only depth in it comes from Nas's guest verse. People are going crazy over that verse. Personally I actually prefer Ross on that track.

You can't really just call him ''Ross'', can you? It sounds like you're referring to the character from friends. Only ''Rozay'' or ''Da Bawwwse'' will do.

Enjoyed the Lex Luger track, Party Hard and the John Legend feature. The Pharrel Williams feature was a surprise but he wasn't used as well i'd hoped.

Good mixtape though.
