Love that low to the ground lambogini forward motion there's something magical about the speed and the contours something that sounds of the moment modern condition stuff. As of it were telling some vital truth about the world in 2020.

Makes me wonder if there's something intrinsically new yawk about these axl beat beats that the brooklyners have gravitated towards. Some sort of grandiose quality.

It's funny though it's very much about the way they rap that gives it that energy. Listening to that fivio foreign big drip you can imagine that same beat with some Brits and it would have a totally different energy. Sure you lot have gone over this enough times already - it's that big game, NBA Finals, WWE energy.

Maybe I'm imagining it to be a new York specific thing but

Don't they have a lot of these operatic orchestral sort of beats. Almost a corny idea of drama. Gothic. That's it. New York Gothic.

Might as well post the obvious

Yeah I know what you mean but the excitement is in the music they're not conjuring it up out of thin air I don't think. They're just drawing attention to a different aspect of it maybe. You can see why people keep mentioning fast and furious in the YouTube comments. That purring high performance engine speed straight line speed. Love it.

I was going to say in the pop smoke thread

Americans have that winning mentality. Shooting for the moon.

Brits are always more modest and understated. And tend to come off a bit clumsy when they try to be like that.

Very interesting contrast really.

Not New York but

Produced by Jahlil Beats younger brother.

Jahlil is one of those producers I keep thinking of when I hear these pop smoke tracks

I loved jahlil when he first came out cos every song had this same bouncing rubber bass that I couldn't get enough. One of those sound-sensations you get addicted to.
