I've seen it. It's OK. It brings Source Code to mind, which is better. And Déjà Vu with Denzel Washington, which is underrated, but not criminally so.
Oh yeah when there is that bomb and he has to save the woman or something. Sort of ok I guess. Source Code was the best of those I think although I barely remember it now.

Watched Prometheus and Alien: Covenant recently. Look and sound brilliant, marred by bad writing. Probably better than Alien3 and Resurrection, mind you.

Such a shame they fucked up a good idea in both of them... very frustrating films I found cos they had potential to be ace. Especially Prometheus.

The writers made so many bizarre decisions, particularly in Prometheus. What was the point of Weyland pretending to be dead?

It just really pissed me off when they took off their helmets and stuff... why would they do that on an alien planet? It completely undermined the tension. Also at the end when they deliberately crashed the spaceship but they looked like they were celebrating a win in beer pong... was fucking weird.

I normally like Benedict Wong... actually lots of the cast... but it didn't make sense. So annoying that they wasted such a promising idea. And so much goodwill from Alien (also wasted) which still survives even despite the brutalising it's had over the years.

I watched the departed today just for something to do and it was much better than I remembered it being. The worst thing about it is Ray Winston's cockneyboston accent. The best thing is Jack Nicholson hamming it up to the max.

I think version is or should be a fan of this scene (terrible quality on YouTube unfortunately)
