did you continue to drink the beer?
I threw it away at that point but there was only a smidgen left. I'd seen the wasps on the rim of the glass earlier and had shooed them off, or so I thought, but if they fell in at that moment then I drank most of a pint of wasp-flavoured beer.

wow, tea. how can you possible consume that many before they go off? or do they sort of disappear when cooked?

Oh yeah, they're all at least 90% water so they reduce a lot when cooked. Even so, picking that many in one go would be silly if I didn't have a dehydrator. So most of them get sliced, dried and then stored in jars for use throughout the year. Looks like I rationed it nicely, as I was just down to the dregs of one jar from last year when they started come up again in a big way a few weeks ago.

Some species don't dry well, so I just fry them and then freeze 'em.

I once lived in an apartment with a painted floor like your, nice look. my socks tend to be more colorful, though.

Branched out into fruit today (no pun intended) and picked some late blackberries for a crumble.

I say late, there are plenty more on the bushes that are still red or even green.

Although I did get a good close photo of a frog while I was out foraging once, that was cool.
