i watched it 2 nights ago and the music didn't jump out at me either, when i remembered to pay attention it was just a load of synth arpeggios, very functional

like culture and memory and detritus are ordered thru constant repetition molding clay mummy into whatever form made of a thousand parts we call a self by virtue of a form which is haunted by the lingering memory of

repeat accrete descent shape
memory accretion
memory accretion

the enigmatic monstrosity of being a thing made up of a thousand multiple rooms repeating but also the comfort of the long and mazey ways which after all have beautiful carved arches and a terrace into dawnlight

shapes of color, fields of light,
the primal affect of somatic being,
the horror of being bodied,
with corpses in a mesh beneath.

i would watch this for 90 minutes or 10,000 or forever.

this was always my beef w the night slugs fade to mind etc stuff. it's like they think bc they can make rihanna remixes they can make rihanna songs. their attempts at doing pop music are so turgid and boring.

you'd need to define experimental nerd producers too. do you only mean white and warp affiliated IDM proximity bros? aren't most producers affiliated with emergent dance music and rap experimental bedroom nerds
