They're good, I also stayed away a little while cos dint wanna get into the hype of them, but ran out of things to watch.

Criminal that most people don't know about the mangrove 9 case, the story in the first one.

2nd one is definitely worth anyone's while.

Im a mcqueen fan, find most of his features a bit difficult, sort of things you don't want to watch again in a hurry, but I like his video art a lot.

Watched "Roadkill" with Hugh Laurie, a bit soapy in parts but pretty good. Cross between political satire and conspiracy thriller, machinations behind the fall of one PM and rise of another.

I'm on the fourth season of The Expanse. The first series I've watched in ages where stuff actually happens in each episode. It's pretty well written and acted, definitely not as shit as it looks from the promo.

Seems like every new show reclines into the format of making an enticing, mystery framing first episode, then 7 episodes of filler before the climactic finale don't it?

I was making that extremely good point to someone yesterday.

We been watching this thing Pen15 with these two adult women who play themselves as 13 year olds, set in school in 2000 with the other kids played by actual kids - strange concept but well observed, quite well observed and sweet but not hilariously funny in the main.

Tales of the Unexpected. Been running almost constantly on freeview (that isn't free). Best theme tune, easily, kitsch wind down telly.

Ive started watching this and am really confused. It's got the guy from mad men, the repressed English actor, in this weird role where he manages to sound south afrikan, Russian and Jamaican all together.

This guy, Lane pryce in mad men

That's a good film yeah.
He also plays Moriarty in the Ritche Sherlock Holmes which obviously you don't need to see. Plus he's in that thing The Terror which people say is good but I've not seen.

I've seen the first two seasons of Daredevil. It's mostly decent, but it's very different to the films. A lot more violent and "realistic". I think you'd find it dull. The new Disney+ shows will probably be along the same lines as the films though.

I was round my mums the other day eh lives opposite s bus stop and every double decker bus had an advert on it for a Disney series. Felt very dystopian.

They're doing something like twelve new Marvel shows, animated series and specials. It's crazy. There are a load of Star Wars things on the way too.

yes I recognized him from Chernobyl.

Don't know what to think about the Belter culture in the show and it's debts to world parallels but I liked the cultural postures of Earth and Mars, the latter talking of Earthers as primitive and decadent and nihilist while taking extravagant pride in the glory of their shared purpose of technological optimism.

My wife made thd observation that a lot of thd main female characters are not white, which is sort of true and a bit unusual
