this is a great story involving human behaviour that seems like it comes from a parallel universe
Serendipity and a light touch seem to get you further than anything else. "I'm fun to play with!" vs "Let me dump another manuscript for you to slog through"

those grotesque and offensive photographs reminds me of when wework pulled me into a few branches to do my act,
very multiracial group of people who were all exactly the same, the same forced positivity stretched thin
over total fear, the same bright shiny faces and total vacuity, the same catchphrases and social media speak
bleeding over into the real world, the same sense of irreality, working but not working, successful but not
successful, running on air

this sense of being a social elite but its so precarious, like youre trying to produce free energy or perpetual motion. very odd. all indoctrinated into the same cult.

How come? Surely the artsy offspring of bankers in Britain still gravitate to London? Or do they emigrate to New York now?

brooklyns mostly an economic product. manhattan is too expensive. no more flop houses in greenwich. I dont know about London but I imagine it was historically less segregated? the river separating brooklyn from manhattan also probably has a bit to do with it.
