I arranged the repress direct with JJ who owns the Southside labels so we could stock them at Chemical, only did 100 of each. We've been working our way through all the releases that are worth repressing (i.e. will sell). If there are any others you think are worth doing hit me up and I'll see...

yea there were 2 mixes that Toasty did, the one that was released on HF last year and another, more rolling breaky mix which not many peeps have...

I think the idea was to repress all the ones which have been out of press for ages i.e. 001-007. Dunno about the LPs though.

I was going to pipe up & say a similar thing - whilst there used to be a very strong free/squat party scene in Bristol, I think that was fairly removed from what most people (myself included) would even loosely class as part of the 'Bristol Sound'. It was simply a scene/broad selection of music...

i'd imagine those whites you bought were from SOTU - most likely TPs or very limited whites. SOTU (Soul Jazz's record shop) often sell upfront whites of their forthcoming releases, as they did with the recent Cotti/Chef plates.

its quite good, but I think it had potential to be better. It's very narrow in terms of style and sound, although seeing as he's got different monikers for his different flavours (Dogdaze, AMUS), then perhaps that shouldn't be a surprise. Some older stuff on the CD version too - Kameleon...
