tbf the (first) black vinyl pressing was the initial promo run, it was at least as limited as the Cyan/Yellow/Magenta runs.

not really. I chatted to Ben last year about doing a similar project, but he said that since Tempa were releasing the new LP then they would get pick of the bunch first... btw anyone check the HP mix on Mistajam the other week? New remix of Yellowman due out on Greensleeves, and some other new...

    they're doing a 'lost tapes' EP next year, pretty sure it's gonna be a 4-track 12" but I couldn't be 100% sure.

Page 2: I've always loved that quote about weapon dis-/reassembly and I mourn the scrapping of those tunes.

I arranged the repress direct with JJ who owns the Southside labels so we could stock them at Chemical, only did 100 of each. We've been working our way through all the releases that are worth repressing (i.e. will sell). If there are any others you think are worth doing hit me up and I'll see...

I haven't heard the Kiss show in...

I think the idea was to repress all the ones which have been out of press for ages i.e. 001-007. Dunno about the LPs though.

    The Bristol Sound

I was going to pipe up & say a similar thing - whilst there used to be a very strong free/squat party scene in Bristol, I think that was fairly removed from what most people (myself included) would even loosely class as part of the 'Bristol Sound'. It was simply a scene/broad selection of music...

i'd imagine those whites you bought were from SOTU - most likely TPs or very limited whites. SOTU (Soul Jazz's record shop) often sell upfront whites of their forthcoming releases, as they did with the recent Cotti/Chef plates.

its quite good, but I think it had potential to be better. It's very narrow in terms of style and sound, although seeing as he's got different monikers for his different flavours (Dogdaze, AMUS), then perhaps that shouldn't be a surprise. Some older stuff on the CD version too - Kameleon...
