The Full Feeling of Actuality

" to reacquire the full feeling of actuality is an experience of tremendous impact moving to the core. In the clinical situation patients have cried out "Suddenly I feel like jumping into the air!" and "I'm walking, really walking!" and "I feel so peculiar- the world is there, really there! And I have eyes, real eyes!" But there is a long road from this present experiment to such a full experience."

Does it have something to do with no longer straining to achieve some more-perfect self? Like understanding that you've been straining/stretching for so long that you have forgotten what its like to be un-tense, and then re-attaining the un-tense position is a kind of visceral relief. Stretching, that is, in an abstract sense, toward some more idealized version of yourself. This is the kind of relief that capitalism denies, no?

But we all recognise it, not the full oh my god I've got eyes but necessarily but certainly we feel more or less actualised at any given moment

How clean a contact we are getting, how vivid (or how muffled) our impressions, how energised, how alive etc
