You were into a lot of the genres which influenced grime, did you ever pay any attention to grime as it started to come out?
“I did actually, but by that point I was getting older and had a wife and kids and all that. I was doing a management job in video games rather than just making music so I wasn’t in the studio daily like I used to be. The way I listened to music changed, I wasn’t on the decks all the time with vinyl, but now I’m getting back into DJing and playing kids’ raves for a company called Big Fish Little Fish with the keyboard player from a band called Jesus Jones. It turns out that kids absolutely love jungle and drum n bass, they go mad for it. They don’t want to listen to some tellytubby DJ, they want to hear some jungle, man.
