Thought id start a list for Android users.

This is brilliant for texting. You don't even need to press the keys simply run your fingers over the keys in roughly the correct order and it guesses the word. Genius.

Still in beta but works fine.

i was wondering about this... i am about to get a new smart phone and don't wanna mindlessly drink the iphone kool aid... i hear that android phones can actually do more, BUT they seem to really be lagging w/ apps? are the more basic non-trendy apps (like say, those Lonely Planet guides) being released for andriod phones?

My job is Android related, would rather not say more than that. There are quite a lot of apps out there now - I've seen a painstakingly compiled list. I believe the Lonely Planet guides are available on Android.

I just dusted off my PAYG Android handset, bought last October, as I found a way to upgrade to 2.1 at long last. I hoped to install Google Goggles on it, but it won't show up in Marketplace - any ideas?

Installing Swype now, thanks for joggin my memory about that

Been real busy lately so not looked out for new apps I but have come across appbrain.com where most of the rubbish has been filtered out. Enables you to manage you apps over a web browser.
