Always used to chuckle at that when I lived in Harringay.
They should be doing a better job, though! Don't think I ever saw an advert for Cypriot potatoes except when I was already in a Turkish greengrocer's. And they are objectively the world's best spuds, they taste buttery even before you've put any butter on them and have this amazing golden colour that no other spuds have.
What I really want to eat right now is a massive pile of grilled jerk chicken and some Cypriot spuds with butter, lemon juice and herbs. Sigh.
