Why should art be about any of those things that you've listed, beyond "meaning"? Beauty? Authenticity? Reality? Truth? These are all somewhat contested categories to say the least.

I remember coming across the website of a group of "anti-postmodern" artists a while back, they were really shitty, vaguely impressionist/abstract stuff.
