Hello Dissensus.

Bit of a new subject of interest for me here.
I'm thinking along the lines of some of Shackleton's Oeuvre, Deadman / Mukuba Special et al.
Rockwell's remix of Untold - Bones, Pinches' Croydon House etc ec.

I've been doing a bit of browsing but haven't had an awful lot of success digging out gems from the woodwork. There has been loads of stuff going on in the post dubstep/house crossover zone lately but it's all been electro tinged or far to upbeat for this escapade from what I can see.

I figured you lot are probably my best bet for obscure riddims in the mood I'm after.

All suggestions/youtube links more than welcome.

yeah, that Stott release was great. very gritty house. he has a full album coming out (also on Modern Love), and the one track that was streamed on The Wire's site (edit: this http://www.thewire.co.uk/articles/7280/) sounded amazing.

also, the releases on Blackest Ever Black (Raime, in particular.), and the last Actress 12'' on Nonplus.

Demdike Stare - Hashshashin Chant

Demdike Stare - Forest Of Evil (Dawn)

T++ - Voices No Bodies

FaltyDL - Hard

Most of Jack Sparrow's tracks are pretty thick sounding, although they may be too upbeat. And then there's stuff like Kowton's 'Basic Music Knowledge" that's slow and eerie but not thick or dense.

Cheers.
Yeah I've been experimenting with pitching down dubstep records.
Had mixed success, I have 1210 mk5gs so can go down to minus 16... The early moving ninja releases sound pretty good, but they're out of key.

bare BARE BONES

Invisible Conga People - In A Hole is very thick sounding but a lot slower than 130, the Dub is even slower. Great molasses House :D

the new Andy Stott but again several of the tracks are below 130bpm, definitely dense though
