Classic House

I'm starting to take an interest in old house tunes, and I started to add to my collection today by purchasing these two.

Was hoping someone might be able to point me out some classic tracks from back in the day. Born in 91 so I'm unlikely to tell the chiff from the chaff.

Cheers.

Darned cockwombles.
I started a thread a while back called something like "90s/00s US house"...it had a few romanthony tunes, so if you search for that, you'll find it I think. Lots of great stuff in there...haven't even got round to checking it all myself yet

Yeah, those two threads have all the goodies. From the top of head I don't think this has been mentioned. Pre 'Classic House' house from 86ish.

Also check Placid's mixes in the Events, Releases, Sales and Mixes section.

i'm trying to dig more in earnest now, for mostly Chicago/Detroit/NYC stuff from the mid 90s...

been trawling through a few releases from Dana Kelley/Callisto... this one particular EP has a couple of nice tracks on it...
the paradigm EP is also quite nice.

I have definitely been trying to go through a lot of the Prescription/Balance stuff, because i've gleaned it's reputation... maybe hearing it through youtube isn't the best, but i'm not crazy about the sound necessarily... the i would deny the techno house fusion out of hand, but if people have particular tracks that they would vouch for, i'd love to know which ones... definitely there are some decent Boo Williams and Glenn Underground productions in this vein...
there are a few producers who have pretty big catalogues, where some spots would be nice:
Chez Damier
Abacus
Nick Holder
Jovonn is one that i'm quite curious about--and it's really not so easy to know where to start looking.

other classic labels?
i've been looking through Guidance recently...

Latest purchase was a, clearly bootleg, version of this track that cold cut 1 minute before it's actual end. It was £30 cheaper than the actual version but sounded clear enough.

Will look through the most recent posts and hit up Discogs tonight. Cheers.
