I have some picture books that I don't pull off the shelf very often. Some of them have great pictures in them that I'd like to have in frames on my walls. But I've always thought it was wrong to cut up books.

Would you?

maybe you can make high-res scans and frame them, thereby saving the books.

Depends on how cool the books are I suppose.

I used to do that with the cheapest 60's art books you get in boxes for 3 for $5 sorta thing.

yeah, I would. Cutting up other people's books is wrong, but if it's cut up your own or hardly ever see the pictures what on earth could be the problem?

They're just books, man. When langugo finds some books on modern art that he doesn't like, he invites his friends over and they burn them all in a big public bonfire. Nothing wrong with that.
