I might as well throw in some word on what I hope to look forward to in 2012 with rap music.

I hope more people start using the massive pool of excellent beat makers out there for their projects
I see Clams Casino getting huge
I see RiffRaff stealing my (imaginary) Mrs, not by talking or rapping though
Danny Brown may release a CD, Id like that
I can see Piff Gang getting a lot of exposure (unwarranted)
I would really like a label to take a gamble on some road rap or do something like a run the roads compilation for Road Rap and the real stuff from the UK

Not sure what else really, 11 was pretty good for some new guys. Lets hope the good ones rise to the top and get the exposure they deserve.

agree with these two points.

I'm hoping some more young new rappers that are willing to use good beats come through. Most of my favorite mixtapes from last year relied heavily on the production and it often felt like the lyrics were playing second fiddle. If someone brings some really good lyrical content as well as using good beats (not hard to find atm) then they're onto a winner.

oh yeah and Yarrow Slaps-

I saw this in all the wrong places. Trap/Hipster rap can easily eat itself

Talk bout lots of weed, get a grill and wear supreme
