sheeeet, some of you sound like you've had a terrible (musical) year :(

Now that is really the question: was it a terrible musical year or is it just me/us. I'm inclined to blame myself -though not entirely.

Anyway, I liked:

Juan Atkins & Moritz von Oswald - Borderland
Kevin Drumm - Tannenbaum

Last year in the house/techno thread we had an end of year mix-off with a bunch of people doing mixes of their favourite house/techno tunes of 2012. Would anyone be up for doing something similar but with any type of music released this year?

bandwagon house
The good

Spooky - hardest working man in show business
Slackk's monthly mixes
The bottomless pit of old disco
RP Boo LP
Boiler Room
Lots of good house & techno
Fuck them and their farm
Vintage year outta here with the Struggle EP, Flying Buttresses, Defekt , GI, Bloom & the Apartment stuff

The bad

All the London DJs that are rubbish now

I spent a lot of the year listening to old jungle, analord series, Burial and footwork and dancehall mixes where I don't know most of the tunes.. agree it's been a bit of a dry one for new stuff but most listened to was probably

Bloom - Maze Temple EP
LVis 1990 - Ballad 4D
Kode9 - uh (probably the best thing he's done alongside that find my way remix)
Oneohtronix - R plus 7
Drake - especially hold on we're going home and worst behaviour
Roly Porter - Birth is amazing as is BOC's reach for the dead.. i see a line between those and maybe OPNs Boring Angel too.. maybe i'll mix the 3 together
