anyone is free to lament whatever and however they want

seems like wasted energy to me, but hey, in that regard at least it is a free country

seems to me as if anyone expecting the Democrats to ever do anything but disappoint is asking for frustration

and also, unfamiliar with the last half century or so of the Democratic Party in action

but I suppose hope can spring eternal in even the most barren of fields

@padraig (u.s.) - in all seriousness, how would you have rated Sanders' chances against Trump A) in 2016 and B) this year?

Pointless counterfactual, of course, but I think it's interesting to see consider this from a perspective of the maverick/outsider/disruptor vs the establishment candidate, rather than from a traditional left vs right perspective.

will make for an interesting VP debate, at least. unlike pence, Harris got to practice in the primary and could get all federal prosecutor on his ass.

just the fact that he has to sit so close to a woman who's not his wife for a couple of hours might freak him out.

The latest message Trump's team is sending out to supporters reads as though it were written by a five year old complaining about a classmate he doesn't like - if you vote for her I shall scweam and scweam until I'm sick.

That's pretty amazing.

Like nearly everything else about Trump, if it had been described in a dystopian satirical novel written in the 90s about what American politics would be like in 25 years, you'd have thought the author had hopelessly over-egged the pudding.

takes a forceful stream to penetrate that sturdy helmet of hair.

that sounded more sexual than I meant.

Remember that joke when the gossip about the "pee tape" was circulating -"Trump is a true Goldwater Republican." Lovely.

I don't get why they always use people's music... always takes about three days and then the artist will be there going "I hate Trump and he shouldn't have stolen my music which he's totally misunderstood and misappropriated" - unless somehow Eddy Grant is a closet Trump fan.... no that's completely ridiculous.

they don't give a shit what the artists think. lots of artists would probably not give prior approval, so the campaign saves time by not even bothering to ask. they just use what they want and then either apologize afterwards or just ignore the artists wishes and carry on.

plus, it's all part of "owning the libs": take the song by a progressive musicians without permission, then watch him cry about it.
