I’ve worked out why my mum won’t visit me for over a week anywhere away from home

she visits my dad every week at the cemetery for the last 10 years

True love never dies.

Dnb is for losers.
House is for the average.
Techno is for winners.

There's a deep meaning behind this hypothesis of mine.

It ties into personality traits of
-patience
-gratitude
-appreciation of the journey over the end result.

I don't accept his disco phobia but that aside i think he means that focusing on the loops and repetition as the end result rather than part of a tapestry is missing the point. it's not right to conceptualise techno as *songs* even jump up dnb does this, the drop is like the corus. In that sense jump up is pure poptimist dance music, it's music for the now now impatient value set.

Honestly sometimes I do wonder why bliss didn't stick with dnb well into the 00s but then I remember him saying that for all its flaws he aligns himself with the historical project of rockism.

Techno of the post belleville three European/mills-esque variety is not really rockist, only in terms of keeping it real, but here real is equated more with a punishing industrial/hypnotic feel than politics per such. techno isn't ghettocentric, it's blastfurnace-centric.
