now this dude is supposedly the best xylophone player in the world

and apparently he lives just up the road from me in Highland Park

must say though i find it rather a grating sound

insects make music - or at least communicative sounds - percussively

Graeme Revell made an album entirely (so it's claimed anyway) out of insect sounds: The Insect Musicians

Loving the vintage industrial from PilHead, I have to say.

In a similar vein, this F242 remix utterly slays:

the middle bit of this - just drums, percussion, whooshing sounds, orgasmic moans - is killer

starts about 1.20, goes to about 3.05

oddly nobody on Youtube seems to have isolated the percussadelic break in "whole lotta love" and looped it for an hour

and this - isolated percuss track - isn't nearly as good without all the phantasmic sound shivers weaved through it

Haha, I was going to post 'Moby Dick' to spite luka after he complained about drum solos, but you've gone one better!

stumbled on this by chance, thinking it was a vocal weirdness - turned out to be gamelan-ish weirdness

Yeah I've had that record on loop the last week or so, amazing stuff.

I count at least three currently active threads that have been invaded by these Geinoh people. Brilliant.
