do this one instead @mvuent
i'm in a similar boat, obviously they were huge for a while but i always avoided them. listening now sort of confirms my biases: really does sound like electronic dance music by and for people who discovered it yesterday. chugging, utterly monotonous beat ("yeah i'm not playing guitar much these days, i've been getting really into loops man"), basic 80s stutter edits, "lol its like a video game" bleep bloop synths. yet there is a distinctive eeriness and pop sense that it achieves. that's the indie rock approach no formal innovation or ambition but a kind of nebulous charisma. the cover is a nice period piece too. if you look back at photos from that era even the "cool" people appear really greasy and ugly by the dematerialized ring light standards of presentation that "cool" people adhere to now.

Linebaugh Mvuent you're doing it wrong the goal is not to ceremonially renounce past loves in the face of overwhelming public pressure, but rather to laugh at the standard bearers of old regimes as out of touch, clueless, worthy of irony posting and little more, the subject of a troll, not worth treating as humans

The point isn't being a HOUSE SLAVE the point isn't being a SACAGAWEA or a JUDAS, a Juliette Audieuve, a BENEDICT ARNOLD

stand up and say it loud... I'm indie... And I'm proud.
