It has nice beaches, good views of the Bristol Channel, I could afford to buy a house here, it's an hours drive away from the Gower Peninsula and the Brecon Beacons National Park. It's actually a very nice place to live.

One of the reasons nobody should ever invite Luke to stay is that he spends a lot of time taking the grimmest pictures he possibly can and then posting them all over the internet.

That’s literally what happens. It’s like, “nice one Craner, great weekend, thanks for having us!” Then gets on the train and starts posting the worst pictures he can on Facebook with the tag ‘look at this shit place I’ve just been to’!

It does sound nice actually.

Unfortunately I feel like if I leave London I'll have to stare into the abyss that I'm already living in

Are you intimidated by the burly sinewy intellects of the metropolitan elite (epitomised by me, with my art fund art pass and familiarity with all three main screening rooms at the BFI)?

Is that where you live?

How can an aesthete live such a provincial life?
as i understand it craner lived the art-pass BFI life to the very fullest. grew weary of it, and did what any true aesthete would do.
