it's an advantage if you have a specialization in some sort of technical field if you write poetry don't you think? i wonder how is career path will look like, brilliant scientist, well paid, or poor poet, sitting by the river.

I just learned that the origins of writing, or at least presumably the earliest instances of writing discovered so far, were in accounting. Mesopotamia. Pictorial representations of commodities, as in a primordial balance sheet. How does this make you feel @luka ?

Fair enough, I suppose it is liable to be supplanted by future findings. It may be found, after all, that the first writing came in a poetic form, scrawled on a rock by an inspired humanoid lounging by a river.

right, all that stuff is very provisional, but again i dont necessarily beleive that is the origin of language a lot of early language they consider the name to be the actual exact vibrational frequency of the object. the name is exact and not arbitary. a very different vision of language

Really that still holds true. We do seem to identify voices in a manner more primordial than that in which we cognize names.

The voice as a more primordial identifier than a name.

Or even the appearance of an object/organism. Electromagnetic waves or certain frequencies being picked up by our photo-receptive wetware and filed away.
