Great thread! Lots of stuff new to me and lots of favourites too.

Normalizo is one of the best ever, very fond memory of dancing to it at cosmic slops in Leeds a few years ago. Problems de amour is also up there for me, amazing how well this stuff still works on the dancefloor, I guess the best of it is so freaky and unique that it doesn't sound tired and played out.

The Patrick Cowley stuff surely fits in here

This Arthur Russell track is proto-deep house, one of my all time favourites

Heard villalobos play these 2 at fabric, was magic. Was just after prince had died, whole room went purple when it came in after hed teased it for a while.

a monkey that will go ape
Is Padraig too busy with the pandemic to keep this up? I understand if so! But I would like more.
just wanna let it be known to Corpsey and any other interested parties that at some near future point I will be doing a post-disco personal top 100

I may have mentioned it before, but I mean a proper one with commentary and that, in its own thread

idk when exactly, hopefully sometime in the next couple months

it'll cover the best of everything in the extended world of fwd club (meaning NYC, Chicago, Manchester, etc) musics ca. 79-86ish

disco, disco not disco, post-disco, boogie, electro, R+B, new wave, Italo, synthpop, early and proto-house, unquantifiable wot do u call it records, etc

without giving too much away, you can expect names like Adams, Levan, Kevorkian, Pettibone, Tee Scott, etc to feature prominently

I'm sure it will include tracks that I or other ppl posted in this thread but idk which ones, I'm not going to go back and check
