Thanks for the recommendations pattycakes, they're all class, so powerful/direct.

Love that Ron Trent track corpsey

@nun0 im quite partial to some of the minimal stuff personally but found that modern track to be v boring, nothing hooking you in. Herberts a master of the minimal hook tho, or at least he was, those early EPs are all pretty flawless, this is a fave by him

This is a real nice one by Dutch group PWOG usually more upfront but this is sublime and reduced

It does seem to have been more widely popular in the north as you say. I only got really into house when I lived in manchester for a few years, and the few friends I have from Leeds are well into the deep stuff. London has got some happening here n there tho I think, I went down to Jane Fitz's night moves party a few years ago and that was incredible for this kinda music.

I love this tune so much, Jovonn is the master. Here is one of my favs:

and some more new jersey sounding stuff

@jorge you're definitely right about fitz. there have been pockets of scenes over the years i guess but in my mind it's never belonged to the city as much as everything that falls into the hardcore continuum. there's lots of trendy "deep" parties happening now mind you, but what does that say about the state of london?

Jovonn is like a hand-crafted suit that never dates or ages. Will have to get in the crates after work, genius producer, had a bit of a wobble mid-career but his catalogue doesn’t include much bunk

Soul Boy’s “Harmonica Track” has the Generation mix or the Hooked Up Dub.....flip a coin

House Hunting had a romp through certain records, finding them, near misses, lucky breaks. Quality throughout if you’re bored & self isolating

this tune lead me to watching osunlade play at east village which was the night i became a house head 4 life. he was booked for maybe 4 hours, ended up playing 6 or 7. i stopped dancing twice for a glass of water. it was everything i missed about 90s dnb with a whole new groove. the track above is nothing like what he played tho.

that chord progression really reminds me of something. jungle or garage maybe. can't remember what it is though
