I've never watched them before because they are gross disgusting videos but yesterday I spent over an hour watching that genre of YouTube video with titles like 'chiraq's deadliest shooter' talking about the details of every person a rapper has supposedly killed/robbed. Has anyone seen those?

It's alot like what gus posts about the Brooklyn culture mafia but with higher stakes. Has anyone called the BCM a revenge of the nerds scenario? Culture writer squares manufacturing their own drama so they no longer have to go into spaces to find content where they will never fit in

Another thing that's striking is how (relatively) easy it seems to have a semi successful rap career if your in these spaces. Reminds me of all those stories from the 60's-70's where anyone could get a slot playing at cbgb's if you slept on the right couches.

yeah, I'm subscribed to /r/ukdrill on reddit for music but the vast majority of the posts is people gossiping about gang shit, it's really depressing. But I can't lie to myself, as a teenager I could see myself caring about it.
