anyone discussed little simz on here yet? shes obv a big fave on radio playlists, but i find she is usually the weakest element of most of her songs.

Listened to the first album a bit back in 2015. Have been a bit surprised that she's become a bit of a big deal. Like most UK hiphop (as opposed to drill etc) I find it a bit polite. I guess that's part of the reason that she's managed to be successful, there's a lot of streams to be had in the middle of the road I guess.

I guess there's an interesting thing that's going on with UK hiphop where (in my experience, and I'm not yet omnipresent) it seems to mostly have a middle class audience. which is a different kettle of fish to the US. a less smelly kettle.

I liked the first album but can't say any of it's stuck with me.
