With People Just Do Nothing they take it a step further and steal from The Office - where the camera is there to sneer, to amplify the credulity/credibility gap as much as possible. mustafa is an office freak, he's very brentish in person. Gervais also had attempts at being a pop star in his youth

so there's the sense of comedy music as a buffer against rejection, it's only a bit of a laugh, and also as a way to transmute the pain of a failed artist

He totally would use the wod "adolescence" because he could rhyme it with "presence" or something similar. All these guys have that use of long words verbal tic.
Like The essence of adolescence needs my body now I'm stressin' just not as good

This is why HF is seems so weird, particularly related to the current moment. I think I said this before, but we have what we've always wanted, an authentic UK street music and these guys seem to to pretend it's not happening.

I’ve loved my mans flow since 2006 still never really disseminated this track properly. Jesus... “MY VERBAL ACID BURNS MALICE INTO BROKEN FLESH, STANDING AT THE GATES OF YOUR DEMISE YOU WISH YOUD SPOKEN LESS” is the best bar I’ve ever heard and understood in this genre. Fucking amazing vulgartron, blow your solo act up my bro, you always have a home in NZ.

I can't think of a witty post to register my discombulation at this. Is the guy really called Vulgartron? Fucking hell. I can't decide if this is amazing or awful or both at once.

Liquid Swords.

I was going to say, I'm pretty sure Wu Tang are the unparalleled idols of this school of rap music (with DJ Premier thrown in for good measure).

Except maybe not the music itself (not even the rapping) so much as that idea of rap as being metaphorical swordplay.
