nice one tom this will get you loads of points
Well, i am just going to blow them by mentioning that apart from the early Frankie Bones related parties and Moby and Keoki at Limelight, was anyone even playing any of this stuff in NY? Certainly the djs i know from there say they never heard it.

Storm Rave was thundering acid techno, and the parties that Aphex Twin and Neil Landstrumm were going to sounded like they were just straight up techno as well. This music was mostly being played in the UK and on the West Coast Breaks scene of the early 90s as far as i can tell...

Loads of records, but i am intrigued to know if there was even one club in NY where they got played.

Yeah I've read interviews with both Todd terry and Frankie Bones saying they used to ship off far more records to the uk than they'd sell in NY, and obviously they came across the pond to dj several times a year during this period. But I think Todd Terry's stuff must have been pretty popular in NY as well, apparently he was selling hundreds of thousands of records at one point. That jungle bros tune was huge at the time and bango got hammered at the paradise garage.

Looking forward to going through your selections later, tomfun.

Made myself a big shopping cart of mp3s of this stuff last night but I didn't checkout in the end. Very tempting though...

Hip house wasn't a very successful genre but some of these bonus beats tucked away on the b sides are 🔥
