it was full of stuff like "he eyed his imminent conquest. he would no doubt be extremely submissive, slender and he licked his lips in anticipation." i'd rather read about attractive people with stuff
but onLY MARGINALLY

Are we about to see a collective pivot to Lynch's Dune being an underappreciated masterpiece?

I don't know why Arrow are wasting time with this trash when they could be giving the same treatment to Mario Bava's Planet of the Vampires.

Me too

Every time I see this thread active I go "Oh woh, it's out" and then I look it up and it isn't out yet. This has happened 3 or 4 times now I reckon.

I'm pretty excited for it, I'm not gonna kid, I am a sucker for gorgeous graphics, epic Lawrence of Arabia type shots

I feel a bit ambivalent about Villeneuve, despite really enjoying "Sicario" (in particular), "Enemy", "Blade Runner 2049" etc. (I really didn't like "Prisoners", which Reddit routinely drools over.)

They're beautifully shot/designed/soundtracked films but also somehow strangely empty.

Saying that I am definitely going to see this on the biggest screen possible. Also I know nothing about 'Dune' so there's no chance of him trampling on my dreams.

I'm a long time lurker (very occasional poster) on reddit, it's the best non-dissensus forum in the world!

Rumours about the release of Villeneuve's Dune have been seeded on inhabited worlds throughout the known universe by the Bene Gesserit since time immemorial.

It'll be an interesting test of HBO's copyright tech, Dune's primo pickings for the rip'n'seed demographic.
