Jason miller, one of trump's close campaign advisors, said a few weeks ago how tonight's moderator Kristen Welker is one of the most straight-shooting, fair White House reporters and she'll be fair in her approach. this week, of course, Fox News and conservative media have spent the past few days going off about how biased she is, trump tweeting that she's nasty and unfair, etc. throwing everything against the wall and hope something sticks, I guess.

I suspect there isn't anything noteworthy, but I'd welcome input otherwise.

Still under the notion, at least partially, that Trump has so much energy behind him that he can almost do no wrong, like he blindly exists as a sort of avatar for both the naive working-class opposition to (neo)liberalism, and the skeptical alt-right opposition to it.

I didn't watch it. I just had a look at what people were saying on Reddit. That first gif of Biden is apparently his response to this genuine quote from Trump,

“I take full responsibility. It’s not my fault it came here. It’s China’s fault.”

Yeah, he definitely did it. Apparently he told the producers, "you can say anything, except question the value of my wealth." That's the one thing he really couldn't stand: speculation that he wasn't really as wealthy as he was.

the lack of commentary here about last night's debate seems to be a reflection that nothing much came out of it and it won't change anything. judged on the lowest of bars, trump was not a raving lunatic and biden didn't face plant or forget where he was. so a draw, I guess.
