i'll show you what real punishment is third you milquetoast
I remember once as a teenager being put off by a friend's dad bursting out laughing at some grindcore record we were listening to

but of course he was right

things like this are brutal in a way no Nasenbluten or Napalm Death or etc record could ever aspire to

I remember when that record came out pitchfork's review wast just a gif of a monkey pissing in its own mouth

sure, fuck pitchfork or whatever, but in that case they really nailed it

didn't the mid-00s rock callback to glam happen around the same time Kompakt etc minimal was calling back to the Gary Glitter etc schlager beat

Corpsey

bandz ahoy
The whole thread being swathed in irony aside, this is an interesting topic - insofar as there are a lot of British people out there who really do see this music as being authentically British. They're perhaps a variety of the 'paste people' that we were talking about in the bad boy chiller crew thread.

I've worked with these people in offices. Deep distrust of both music that doesn't use guitars and music which uses guitars but in a weird, arty, poncy way.

one of these days when I do Spendy's 100 no one will be able to make fun of me because there will be objective proof of my great taste that can be linked to as rebuttal—the people will see with their own eyes the way I'm being slandered
