A thread for the rest of us to marvel at Rich's debauchery whilst we're all trapped in our houses.

i'm so curious how it will be. i don't really care about new year's eve that much normally but i feel a great urge this time to celebrate the end of this year. i'll definitely go outside and roam around for adventures tonight.

funny how dec 31/jan 1 are just days like any other, yet hold sway on us like no other. kicking the past to the curb, fresh starts, new outlooks, resolutions to change behaviors. could do all those things just as well on march 17 or June 6 or whenever.

I'm going to a friend's house to visit him and his parents (!) and sit 2m apart in their fancy gazebo which apparently contains a fire pit. I am expecting it to be surreal as this friend is the one who is always up for a mad one, and I don't see something like having to stay at home with the family stopping him from going a bit overboard, as is tradition.

we pretty much stopped going out on new year's eve a few years ago, when friends who threw an annual bash moved away. we'll make a fancy-ish dinner at home, drink a bit too much and hope to still be awake at midnight. apparently, they are still doing the ball drop in Times Square but not allowing people to gather there. it'll be televised, will be odd to see the empty streets, a fitting scene to end a crap year.

I'm gonna stay in and do nothing on NYE but I've recorded some Extractor Fan material which will be going out on the Neon Hospice at 23:00 NYD

Preshus is one of the greats. You want the MCs with garage or you might as well be in Labrooke Grove
