i'm not a fan of this music or "hyperpop" by any stretch but from what i know alot of people who've been called that don't necessarily agree with the name as it seems like a name spotify gave to this loose collection of people on bandcamp grouped together

this reminding me of my mate Joe from the punk group who as was usually the case first got into nightcore "ironically" and then started loving it to a point where he was convinced the people who make and listen to this stuff wern't embarassing shut ins

highly influential mecha anime that's to do with depression and Ultraman refferences, it's a personal touchstone for alot of people now in their 30s
