me here? there's a performance aspect of course and that often involves skirting a line and (as 'a lot of peoples') school reports will often indicate, skirting a line tends to inadvertently crossing it from time to time. and there is a natural ambiguity and grey area between
acting a tinpot tyrant and being one and part of the fun and part of the joke depends on that ambiguity, that is the field of play itself
but necessarily it can be 'problematic'
It's like reading Bourdieu

Yeah I think wanting to be good can genuinely be in ones self-interest, but I do tend to think self-interest is a totalizing category, i.e. that one cannot act outside of self-interest, but this is largely a semantic issue.

Interesting... the two bits that really stand out for me are them saying about how online relationships are much simpler, more straightforward and honest than those you have to negotiate your way through if you live in the real world and get a job there.

And also how much they have all been victimised and complained about by girls that they annoyed a lot in a definitely - let me stress this strongly - not at all sexual way.

In this respect they remind me of a friend who had a complete mental breakdown (I know I have mentioned him before, apologies if it's boring, but seeing this interview reminded me of him quite strongly and I think that makes it relevant) which resulted in him living under several delusions including believing that he could speak to animals... but the pertinent thing here is that he believed that women were evil and could read minds and were constantly seeking to brainwash people (or men to be precise).

If you were conversing with him and there was a woman in view he would demand that you leave the room with him and continue the conversation safe from mental attack - refusal to do so was of course clear evidence that you had already been brainwashed. Also, if you went on the underground or in a bar or whatever and he saw a woman he would often fix them with a really quite unnerving and creepy stare and I often had to snap him out of this evil trance state.

In the end he was registered as mentally disabled and he had to move to Chester where he was registered to receive his benefits - I went to visit him in Chester and we were woken in the morning by police demanding a swab from him - some women had been attacked nearby and obviously someone had said "bet it's that weird guy" - now he had not done anything to harm anyone and I'm pretty sure he never would. But I can understand why people thought of him - even though it was totally unfair.

Kantbot is maybe my second preferred performer of the paranoid critical method

Moldbug is a bit more coherent and plausible, personally, but I get the appeal of name-dropping old dead Germans
