Universally agreed terrible film(s)

No, I can’t commit to that, sorry, but do agree that the film has in the past been used as a measure 📏 by many extolling the virtues of that type of thing. Can’t say more without re watching. What do you think is great about it?
You're missing the point, I'm talking about how it's used regardless of its actual qualities.

Then it boils down to whether it was conscious/ commenting with/ on structure or not.
You think it was fully consciously commenting on the current vacuous person taken up with/ propelled by VR landscape video game, who is at the same time its originator, as the autistic demi god (maybe like someone who works at google since Silicon Valley has a high percentage of autism families).
Bladerunner we know was conscious because the hero is still modernism’s anti hero. But why is the word postmodern not allowed here?
pretty much but I dont think its fully conscious, or at least Im not intrested enough in intention to investigate it like that. I just think thats what its doing, unknowingly or not.

And I think Goslings character is more on the outside rather than taken up/ propelled/ originating, though thats maybe what you mean. I think his character harnesses the power of being dumb in a hyper logicized world.

is post modern not allowed?

Yes. And the point of this thread is to find its opposite.
What?
- already stated I disagree with the ubiquitous appraisal of Citizen Kane, many do…& dislike the film a lot - one reason why is the very reason you have told me it is proliferated as THE thing - by certain sectors who claim dominance in a certain area of filmmaking and film history. Anyhow who cares what I think

I don’t understand your sentence, can you say it in easier words or more words?
I think hes referring to the theory (i.e. "The Death of the Author", "What is an author?") that textual interpretation doesn't necessarily need to be determined by the intentions of the text's author. No longer is hermeneutics governed by the transcendent author, according to those who may consider this a watershed moment in literary theory.

Yeah I don't think all those scripts went into production, and I don't think people who provide screenplay coverage get screen credits. I could be wrong though, or perhaps it differs across productions.

I would just read scripts and fill out forms that made it easier for producers to gauge whether or not the film is worth producing any farther. I would provide synopsis, character descriptions, ratings on various bases such as commercial viability, etc. I would also provide a bunch of structural and content-based feedback for improving the script, such as making character motivations more robust, etc.

Wow that’s intense. Whereabouts?
