I had half a litre of Monster Nitro today and the taste was lush but the effect was surprisingly lacklustre.

I would say the most delicious energy drink I've experienced, tied at the top with the watermelon Red Bull but the Red Bull delivers a cleaner, sparklier high

I first got into drinking Monster and Rockstar simply to horrify Craner when I was visiting him but I found I actually enjoyed them and they work well as both smart drug and hangover cure

They also make an exceptional mixer. Me and woops always drink a few Strykerbombs whenever we are in a Wetherspoons together. It's like a Jaegerbomb, but the Brexit version using a liqeur brewed in Norwich.

I dont like energy drinks either. In highschool I had an m3 which is a monster energy drink with all the ingredients of a full can condensed into one third of the liquid. next day was the first cross country practice of the season and I puked up green slime

I see a lot of the BCAA energy drinks around now which are also said to help with muscle growth.

There's a Yerba Mate can available here but it's only 330ml so I drank two of them but it must be too watered down cos it didn't do anything. For me, boringly, Red Bull is the best and most reliable high. Good clarity, no jitters.

I prefer buying the rockstars and monsters for comedy reasons but I don't think they're as good.

"What this tradition calls 'study' and 'reading' requires that any reality be treated as an obscure message addressed by an unknowable or even unnameable agency. As with a verse of the Torah, one must listen to the phenomenon, decipher and interpret it, of course, but with humour, without forgetting that this interpretation will itself be interpreted as a message no less enigmatic - Levinas would say no less marvellous - than the initial event."
