I mean if everyone does accept that then basically Padraig was one hundred percent right and I stand corrected and really we don't need the thread at all.

The whodunnit aspect is actually the least interesting part of the case as far as I'm concerned. I don't know if you've ever had a murder happen outside your living room window? If you have, then you'd know that the police and press investigations can shine a light where it is not wanted - people in the vicinity who are unconnected with the original crime will scramble to cover up whatever nefarious activities they're involved in, all sorts of cover ups ensue. I believe this is what happened in Dallas in 1963.

Yeah maybe I mentioned when someone got beaten to death outside my flat when I lived in Mile End - I stepped out the door and police car is beeping at me "Get out from behind the tape" - my front door I'd literally in the forbidden zone.

But yeah it's the plot of every TV detective show... that guy is acting suspiciously he must be the murderer, no he's just worried that his affair/drug ring/pimping will be revealed.

Anyway, maybe it's the least interesting question but I'm still asking it*.. do you think it was LHO acting alone? If not, why and what do you think?

*did you guys use this tactic when you were doing exams "uninteresting question, I'm gonna answer something else instead".

padraig (u.s.)

a monkey that will go ape
I like how padraig keeps promising to let the boys 'have their fun' then keeps coming back to stop them having their fun
I felt obligated to answer Rich's direct questions, then I fucked off to let the fun ensue

Are yall having fun yet?

You never lived on Burdet Road did you? It was a real fucking nasty one, some altercation in a club, two guys followed this guy out, threw acid in his face and then stamped him to death. At the time I was pretty worried for a minute cosmy flatmate hadn't come in... but was fine of course..

Who she? Mafia or Deep State or what?
In the final scene of the 1979–80 season, J.R. Ewing (Larry Hagman) hears a noise outside his office, walks out to the corridor to look, and is shot twice by an unseen assailant. The episode, titled "A House Divided", was broadcast on March 21, 1980,[3] and was written by Rena Down and directed by Leonard Katzman. Viewers had to wait all summer to learn whether J.R. would survive, and which of his many enemies was responsible.[4][5]

J.R. Ewing was a villain on the series who regularly double-crossed business associates, plotted against his own family, called his wife Sue Ellen (Linda Gray) a "slut", and had her committed to a sanatorium so he could take custody of their infant son John Ross. Essentially all the other characters on the show were suspects.[6]

Ultimately, in the "Who Done It?" episode which aired on November 21, 1980, the person who pulled the trigger was revealed to be

During the 1980 United States presidential election, the Republicans distributed campaign buttons that claimed "A Democrat shot J.R.",[10] while Democratic incumbent Jimmy Carter joked that he would have no problem financing his campaign if he knew who shot J.R. ...
Former president Gerald Ford unsuccessfully asked producer Leonard Katzman who the shooter was;[7] he and Queen Elizabeth, The Queen Mother, were among the millions worldwide intrigued by the mystery.[12] ...
The episode was an international event, with more than 350 million people tuning in to find out who shot J.R. A session of the Turkish parliament was suspended to allow legislators a chance to get home in time to view the conclusion of the cliffhanger.[22]
