true, but not sure how much there is thats going to shake things up waiting to come out between now and 2006. hopefully there will be some stuff that does that of course (perhaps its ruff sqwad's died in your arms tonight!') and alters (even if its just subtley) the course of grime for 2006 but i dunno. im waiting to hear if the recent intermingling between fwd/dubstep and grime will affect the sound (id love to think that something like duppy will have a seismic impact but not sure if its gonna happen)

sticking to this post though, logans commentary in the latest rwd says that kiss will play any grime tune with a sample in it. i think thats definitely gonna have some effect. i think lethals 'fire' is getting more spins on choice and kiss than either of his other singles.

could you at least accompany your blog spam with a thought or two?

i'm feeling fuda guy at the moment, he's the only one in the ruff squad right now who i feel can really rip it on 'underground' with his skippy style.

also, how many mixes of this tune are there? i swear i've heard at least 4.

You know, I think Rapid has big differences in style of his productions, but makes a few tunes with every new style. I heard a vocal by Stamina Boy, of which the production had the same set up as All Day Long. I'm not saying it's a bad thing though, there are enough differences between the tunes to keep it exciting.

Funny you should mention that......

I was thinkin about the scene and was wonderin, what tunes do people actually consider to be all time- classics. What tune will you think about in 5yrs time that will bring nothing but good memories of the scene flooding back?

I have to say wileys 'eskimo' for one as it put me on to the brillance of the music in the first place. Also Dizzy Rascals 'I luv u'. In fact the majority of wileys early productions are classics and dominated the scence when released.

Please add....

anyone heard Mondie- 'full house'? you can hear a clip on uptownrecords.com

it's totally bonkers- cut up classical samples that sound weirdly happy hardcore/ravey/carousel-y.

it's not actually that good, it's just crazy. but sometimes that's more than enough.

she's got no bars, no content, nothing!..................... nah she was alright mate

was just watching slo mo explosions at the end of zabriske point (normal sunday evening stuff) then turned off the video and i find J2K and Crazy Titch messing about on teevee. I know we knew this Shystie thing was gonna happen, but it was pretty funny seeing Crazy ham it up. Especially when dogzilla did his cameo.

the voting choice at the end was pretty swag; theyre clearly gonna turn out to be wrong 'uns but there's no promise of anything exciting happening if she doesnt go with em.

*clueless&cheap north american question*:

do I buy the now ancient aim high v.2 mixtape+dvd or the new shiny 6CD +DVD rinse sessions? my interest in grime is starting to pick up again (after really a year of not really paying attention), and I wanted to see what this dvd bizness is all about...

Definitly rinse sessions, I mean Aim High is good but Ruff Sqwad, Slimzee/Riko/Godsgift and Roll deep should be more than enough to better it. Then you get some crazy Plasticman set and a bit of Logan (with some blast to the past 2step).
So buy now form amazing discoveries, 1-800-all-day-commercials!!!

Reading back, I frighten myself with that but Rinse sessions is really good, both in quality and quantity.

Plus Aim High 3 is coming soon

Eye of the Tiger is going to be out this week apparently.

Ghetto just gave me a finished copy of "2000 & Life", so that should be in stores within the fortnight.

Ears mix cd is having an overhaul with loads of new tracks being made for it.
