perhaps from an international perspective mixtapes play in important role. In the UK however I've never come away from a record/online record shop with one in my possesion.

is Boy In Da Corner not worth checking for, or is that the exception because it's an 'album'?

the sends quite good but thats the first thing I've heard that's decent. realistically I'd just listen to Gun n Roses 1 to hear what he does 10x better. his flows basic. people getting gassed off him because grime's rotting.

this all happened then scorcher came and showed everyone how to do these flows smoothly 8 years ago lol

You call those weird effeminate yelps smooth?

I know you're talking about Scorcher back in 2000 BC, but now I keep thinking of the guy with the face tat who's always making really terrible punchlines in that borrowed Ghetto flow with the facial emphasis of a 5 year old who thinks he's outwitted a grown up, right before the grown up slaps the child in the face. Tragically, not enough people have done that to Scorcher.

*clears throat, goes back to reality* Sorry, but yeah, that Novelist...

I bought most mix cd's that came out (apart from Wretch, I'm not that stupid) and there are some amazing tunes on them. Pretty much every one had some filler on there and would have benefitted from being 12 tracks long instead of 22 but there are some proper classics.

that butterz set with joker/swindle/skepta/jme is really good.

made me think of who the best duos in grime have been - wiley and dizzee obviously, dee and footsie (though i think dee and maybe kano might have been better), jme and skepta, jammer and skepta, actually skepta and jme both work really well with other mcs in general, jme was good with tempz also. i dont think wiley has sounded better than with dizzee.

So I bought the SLK "Lost Tapes".

This is the most bitter-sweet purchase I've made because it's the most disorganized comp. ever, but I have a 320 version of "Warpspeed" and "Pull Up Dat" now, so YEAAAAAAAAH.
