90s Music Magazines

Ach!

Turd on the Run
I want rid of them! Sorry to turn this into the classifieds section, but I'm sure they'll be of interest to somebody lurking here.

Muzik: 95 - 01
Mixmag: 94 - 01 (Blackdown, some of your archives are in here)
DJ: 95 - 01
Wax
Generator
Eternity
Trace / True
also, NME and Melody Maker: 93-97 (although I might hang on to the MMs).

They're not absolute, complete collections, but there's a whole lot of them. If anyone's interested PM in here or e-mail me at thismortalsound@yahoo.co.uk

If you're in London or pretty nearby I'll even deliver them. Otherwise tell me how to arrange postage and I'll see what I can do.
If you do want them please hurry up and let me know as otherwise they're going in the skip pretty sharpish.

Bumped, as I binned most of them previously but kept hold of a few, which I'm now going to get rid of unless anyone wants:

Melody Maker - '93 to '97

Wire - '95 - '97

Muzik - '95 - '99

and some other stuff like Trace/True/Straight No Chaser/Eternity ...

I'll even deliver them to you if you're in London! Just thought I should let people on here know just in they were interested.

All the music mags have gone :(

I feel a bit sad about the Wires and especially the Melody Makers - some good writing in there, especially Reynolds, Kulkarni, Parkes, Eshun, Cole etc. But hey, you can't hold on to everything I suppose.

I'm still umming and aahing about getting rid of the 2000Ads, I'll keep you posted!

Reading old music magazines is just depressing.
I used to like Jockey Slut and Melody Maker (before it went glossy, of course.)

It's funny coz alot of the writers try to appeal to teenage emotions and write about the bands like some sort of teenage crush. Then you read them 10 years later and those feelings aren't there anymore, especially when you LISTEN, and you say 'what the fuck was I thinking??'

Everett True is the perfect example.

Not so much the writing as the fact that a lot of music/scenes I like have passed over, and a lot of the boring shit (like oasis imho) is still hanging around.
