altercation on the way to work

angry man tried to get fighty with me as i was in his way when he was walking - so he got aggro instead of just walking to the left of me and a bit faster past me - bit early for that sort of thing - some people are exceedingly mad and stressed out in london.

People sometimes get psycho if they think they're going to be late in the mornings.

Some bloke at Holborn tube launched into this tirade of verbal abuse about some woman whose bag was in his way once, and started calling her fat and stupid etc. Really nasty.

Also, during one of the tube strikes I was on a bus in Finsbury Park and this guy was totally losing it, barging past people saying "I've got to get to work! I've got to get to work!" over and over.

I mean, fair enough if you are an ER doctor or a fireman, but I doubt either of those two was. Fortunately most places I've worked in London have been ok with a bit of lateness, because that's the nature of our fair city...

I have to admit, once the weather cools I'll be considering walking to work, it's nearly an hour each way but fuck it, it'll get me healthy and save having people crashing into me and tutting. I've come to hate the WAGN.

Why is it always suits? Why don't brickies start screaming at people? And that's not biased cos I wore a suit the other day. Only I jumped in a taxi and claimed it back on expenses.

Dear oh dear. London people can be aggro can't they. Was this near Haringay, mms?

gospel oak but i'm begining to think that my life may have been made more banaly simple with putting up with it but that's not really the one ...

i really don't know, sometimes it happens and you hope that your're not an anger translater.
it's not fair to pass that wee meme onto someone else .
it's just psychotic really that kind behaviour but it disturbs you for a good 4 hours or so .

aggro is one thing. What I really do not understand is the people throwing themselves on moving trains. I've seen a women do this on a moving slamdoor train, opening the door Western-movie style and getting in as the train was leaving the platform.

The next train to Victoria station leaving all of 3 minutes later ...

my special lady friend who is american had a horrid experience during rush hour once with a man in a suit who was behind her in the queue to put ticket in machine... as a non-londoner she wasn't aware of the tchh factor of people being held up for 1 second & couldn't find her ticket... he became stroppy & abused her... after getting through the machine she & he waited inside the station for the rain to stop & she asked him politely (even calling him sir) whether that was the proper way to treat people... he abused her again... once the rain had finished she was walking down the rroad to meet me... someone trod on the back of her flip-flop & tore it off her foot... it was the same man... this time she was not so polite, but he retorted that 'it was no surprise that she was so stupid as she was american'... she became rather upset... so upset that when i saw her walking past the pub i was in (also sheltering from the rain... obviously) i ran out to meet her & tapped her on the shoulder... she told me to f*** off & stormed away... it later transpired that she hadn't even seen it was me she was so upset... i sometimes hang around outside the tube & try & spot this deviant swine for kicking purposes... apparently he was well spoken & well dressed... clearly a very unhappy individual... solidarity for all who come across these evil-doing degenerate ingrates

Gospel Oak is a weird place. Quite posh, but quietly threatening in many places. Someone tried to hold me up at gunpoint there once. Brrrrrr.
