Best Christmas Records Ever.

Not quite as good as The Sweet, this lot, but I do love a bit of this.

This is the most miserable Christmas album ever made. Seriously, what a downer. I used to play it over and over in work to annoy my work mates. I found it hilarious! "Craner, turn that bloody album off, you're depressing the crap out of us!"

Jingle bells!

Wait, I love Christmas songs, I'm going to find some more.

Ah, what a beauty. I think George is great.

If you don't like this, check your pulse.

Off topic, but this another lovely Wham! track.

Wierdly, the first week I lived in London, apart from pirate radio stations, I couldn't stop playing Wham!s debut Fantastic! and the 12" mix of Prince's 'I Hate U'.

Anyway, sorry Christmas songs...

Along with Paul and George, this lady wrote the lovielest Christmas song ever. In fact, it just made me cry. Hadn't listened to this for a number of years.

Wait! How could I forget this beauty! Came out same year as Saint Etienne's lame attempt, I think. Talk about out classed.

This is fucking brilliant.

Walthamstow's favorite sons! They really went for this and got their reward: Christmas No 1! Oh, for those pre-X-Factor days! Bells and ridiculous hand gestures in full effect!

I love this.

I think I should run the Ten Bells pop quiz.

I mean, I can't win it, but I could certainly write it.

To stick with the Toni theme:

Why wasn't this a yuletide hit?

This doesn't have anything to do with Christmas, but it hit No. 1 on Christmas day I do believe (good pick up in the video too, you camp bastards). And it is magnificent in its own way.

<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value=""></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

I quite like Christmas hits that have no real relation to Christmas. It can be quite profound, as in this case. And, come to think of it, this one.

Totally on point. I heard this first one December, too. Plus, one of the only pop songs I can play on piano (it's gorgeous, gorgeous songwriting...some of the chord changes are sublime)! I'm going to listen to Blue tonight now.
