Hmm, I generally really like a fairly heavy touch of eyeliner/eyeshadow/mascara, but it depends very much on how it's done. E.g. classic Liz Taylor - amazing, Twiggy - not so much.

it could be, and style plays a part as well. but what would they mean without two exceptionally beautiful, exceptionally alive, and in the case of uschi, exceptionally intense women? marie-france radiates beauty and charm (see her smile in the interview), while uschi is pure erotic intensity, almost sublime in her destructive potential. i think these qualities shine through in the image.
