has anyone got the rock e.p ?? is it any good??

Burial is a definite banger, but the rest are good too. Track 2 on that Uk recordshop link is really quality as well, it was on their rinsesession cd and worked really well. The other side has the instrus of 1999 and kabe (off stryders mix cd). I'm glad i have the vocals on cd and the instrumentals on vinyl.
Am I right in saying these are all done by Dirty Danger?

why did burial never get a vocal version? that would have been so huge its almost unfathomable.

it gets thoroughly merked on the rinsessions cd if i remember rightly.. though the stand-out for me on that is track 14 i think, when fuda's on 'who's mercs'.

anyway i'm sure you mean 'why did it never get a proper, released vocal version', which i agree with totally.

he was when they were a big old entourage rather than a tighter, smaller unit - he's not doing anything anymore i don't think.

he's also fuda guy's older brother.

Yeah, does anyone have a list of tacks he (xtc) produced?

If he did Lethal Injection and Havana (Funktion) then hats off.

That old Ruff Sqwad style is what I like the most - not too mad on the GnR style.

Anyways would love to know more info?
Anyone?

Track got reloads on the discman ALL DAY LONG when I was in Alaska photographing this past September.

That Rinse sessions tape pack was an amazing find, especially just coming across it hiding in the fucking DVD section in New York a year or more after grime "died" over here.

I can't find the Ruffsqwad CD for the life of me though! I need another copy, but I would imagine it's not a legit upload since it's from Logan's tapepack.

Fuck. I need that back!

it really is just like the absolute apex of rapid as a producer and roachie being so casually cocky rather than trying too hard makes it even more perfect. keep your 'thoughtful' or 'introspective' (YAWN) grime tracks, its tracks like these that MAKE the genre. all day long should be more universally recognised as an uber-classic.

it usually gets no further than the word 'getting' in 'no there's no getting rid of me..' and i spaz out completely.

if anyone has a copy of 'havana' they want to sell i think my boy bok bok would v much like it.

rockypoppy2 - it was that one track that made me say to alex 'we really need to interview ruff sqwad. NOW.'

STANDARD reloads during home-listening to this track!! Roachee isn't as complete as, say, Wiley or Trim, but he has that amazing don't-give-a-fuck swagger in his bars. When is he coming out?

Plus it has 'Future' on the back, so both sides are brilliant.

that (non forced - which is crucial... too too many grime MCs really overdo the chronic 'hard/crazy' angle) cockiness is what makes him so good. id love to hear him on more tracks with beats like this.

Know what you mean - i didn't like his angular flow at first but when he comes out with 'Standardly bore a man in his knee' in that detached way he does its just awesome.

Beyond that and the Pen and Paper 12" with Trim he doesn't have anything much does he? And he isn't on either Creepers either I don't think?

yes! the nonchalance is very key. adding 'standardly' to the beginning of a line about boring a man in his knee is also very good.
