that's great! i used to use something like this for audio gear when i was selling off all my outboard stuff.

i wonder how and how often they update their database. i did a couple of test searches and found less listed than i've seen sold on ebay. very cool though.

note: you can also do a search only for listings that have ended on ebay itself if you log in and go to 'advanced search.'

This has been running for a long time but they've only just introduced the log on system and the rating the price thing. I guess that they are trying to add something to it to make it more than just a parasite on ebay. The problem is that that site is so widely referenced that it often becomes a bit of a self-fulfilling prophecy.

It seems like they only list stuff that sold for at least 20 GBP.

What do you all make of the fake auctions that reportedly take place. It just doesn't make any sense to me. For example there's the story of the fake Clarence G (early work by Drexciya member) auction that closed at $5400. That means the fee was enormous...probably around $100. Does it really drive up the price people are willing to pay? Just doesn't seem worthwhile.

clarence g is a real record though, it's a sort of hip house vocal version of 'the countdown has begun' by Jame stinson and other tracks.
it's rare so you would never see it much.

I think he is saying that the auction was fake not the record. I'd be interested to know what makes you think it was fake though - simply the price?

Rumours on discogs...yeah, not much. But apparently these fake auctions aren't uncommon. Or so they say. That's why I am doubting it. Just doesn't seem worthwhile.
